Book Review - Wild Horses by Jenny Oldfield

Book Review and October Contest Announcement

I recently read the book Wild Horses.   This is the first in the The Horses of Half Moon Ranch Series by Jenny Oldfield.   The book is classified as Juvenile Fiction ages 9 and up, but I loved it!  It's one of those books that you can't put down.  I found myself crouching forward into the book getting lost in the excitement.

Who hasn't had the fantasy of an adventure riding and camping with a horse?  Add beautiful scenery and wild horses and it's the perfect place for horse crazy kids.  As a child, I loved reading books about girls and their horses, and this one fits the bill perfectly. The main character Kirstie and her family run Half Moon Ranch, a dude ranch located in Colorado's Meltwater Range.

Wild Horses is tale of determination, mystery, a love of horses and always being ready to "Cowboy Up" in any situation.  As Kirstie fights to save an injured stallion you will get caught up in the excitement and feel like you are on the journey with her.

Wild Horses will be a fun gift to give for any horse lover on your Christmas list.

With that said, stay tuned for the details of the blog contest for October where two lucky readers will have the opportunity to win a copy of this fun book.

The contest begins October 2nd so be sure and check out deannacastro.com for all the details!
