Pug For Sale, CHEAP

I went to the barn this morning and didn't take the Pug. Pugsly loves going to the barn more than anything else in the world.

The Pug decided to make me pay by, well you can see it in the picture. I was so angry, I took this picture, sent it to Fredi and told him it's me or the dog! Fredi thought it was funny and laughed as he told me it was my fault for not taking Pugsly to the barn or for putting my boots away.

I'd never really get rid of the dog, but he did make me angry! How could he do that to my new boots????? That dog really knows how to hit me where it hurts.

Everybody Gets To Ride But Meeeeeee :(

Time is ticking, and I am on the last leg of my pregnancy. I cannot wait until I can get back to riding! Now I'm going to whine and say, "Everyone gets to ride but me! Even the dog gets to sit on the horse's back.

I guess you can tell we really do need to have a baby so we can stop treating the Pug like one. Pugsly has a pretty decent wardrobe, winter, fall, spring, and summer clothes and accessories. Yeah, sad I know.

I think Perry's face says it all in this picture. She usually loves to get her picture taken, but with Pugsly on her back she looks humiliated, she wouldn't even look at the camera. Pulgsly's eyes are saying, "help me" and Fredi is beaming like a proud Daddy. Obviously, we need this real baby.

My doctor says I should go into labor in the next week, cross your fingers for me because the sooner I go, the sooner I will be back in the saddle. Not to mention, it would be nice to see my feet again.

To everyone else I say, have fun riding for me!

Barn Buddies!

Hello Everyone!

For those of you familiar with the blog you know I am unable to work or ride because I am pregnant and very limited in what I am allowed to do.

I know I usually write training articles, but it's not quite the same when I am not really able to be at the barn. So I will now mix in some other things with the training and teaching articles too.

I would like your help readers. If you would like to have your barn buddies featured on the blog send a picture and a bio as short or as long as you would like. A barn buddy can be a person or any kind of animal that is a real character that hangs around the barn. You can e-mail your buddies photo and story to deannatwb@yahoo.com with "Barn Buddy" in the subject line. If you have a website or a blog, I can also add a link along with your barn buddies picture and story.

Here's one of My Favorite Barn Buddies:

Name: Pugsly
Aliases: Mr. Puggles, Pooh, Chiquito
Age: 9
Breed: Pug
Hobbies: Playing living cone. That means parking his butt in the arena in the middle of a pattern giving you a "living cone" to navigate.
Favorite Food: Pomegranates and tomatoes, yes more than meat.
Vices: Eating horse manure and arena footing.
Tricks: Saying "Mom! Mom! Mom!" When he sees me put my boots on to go to the barn.
Likes: Taking naps, car rides, short walks, children, going on trail rides.
Dislikes: Being left at home and not going to the barn :(

Pugsly showed up one day at the barn with my cousin when he was a puppy. I was at first irritated that she brought a strange dog to the barn. I looked into his eyes, and it was love at first sight. He had patchy hair on the top of his back because he was so infested with fleas. He was only skin and bones. We searched in vain for his owners, so from that moment on he became the barn mascot.

Pugsly now resides in Bath, PA with the his loving family The Castro's.
