Horse Quote of The Day - Fredi Castro

“Each time you ride your horse, he’s a different horse, ride it that way.” - Fredi Castro

I thought that was a brilliant statement. What he means is, every day is different. Don’t get on your horse today thinking he is going to be the way he was yesterday. Always start with a fresh mind. a light hand and light leg, you can always build from there. Don’t start out with heavy cues, because where do you go from there?

This definitely makes sense to me. Heck, I'm not always the same from one day to the next. Why should the horse be?

Hey there. I am riding my little Arab across America right now and I was just talking about this! After riding day after day you would think everything would fall into routine, but different days call for different moods, different obstacles, and new discoveries.

OMGosh Linny! That is so cool that you are riding your mare across the country.

You need a book deal! You could be like the Jules & Julia. First she did something really cool and blogged about it, then she got a book deal and then a movie. Has anyone alerted the media about your project?

That is so amazing and I'm totally looking forward to reading your adventures.

Beautiful horses. When buying a horse, is there anything I can look for that would tell me if she is a breeder or not?

Yes. Thats holds the truth. Speaks more about the nature of horse. We must understand how their behavior looks like and accordingly we should ride. Gearing up with the proper saddles and other riding gears makes the ride more comfortable.
