Stable Scoop Episode 10 - Eventing with Gina Miles

If you are at all interested in the sport of Three Day Eventing you don’t want to miss episode 10 of The Stable Scoop Radio Show. Hosts Glenn the Geek and Helena B. start with an early morning chat with Olympic Silver Medalist Gina Miles. They explore life since her silver medal at the Olympics, McKinlaigh's time off and what's next. The second half the show is devoted to the considerable safety changes in Eventing this year. Joanie Morris of the United States Equestrian Federation reviews the changes and talks about what is next.

Gina Miles life has been a whirlwind since her silver medal in individual Eventing at the 2008 Olympics in Hong Kong. Gina speaks on the show about what it has been like for her since the games with the constant parties and appearances. She also talks about her life with McKinlaugh, the Irish Sport Horse that she describes as “a once in a lifetime horse”.

After the interview with Gina the discussion on the show turns to the USEF’s moves this year to make Eventing a safer sport. Recent years have seen the sport plagued with horse and rider injuries and deaths. Joanie Morris, High Performance Communications Manager for the United States Equestrian Federation, addresses the events of the year and the bold rule changes that the USEF has imposed.
